Ruism culture is a system of philosophical thoughts based on Confucianism.School of the Ru has been created by Kong Qiu in Chun Qiu Dynasty. Some of the basic Confucian ethical concepts and practices include rén, yì, and lǐ, and zhì. Rén is the essence of the human being whichmanifests as compassion. It is the virtue-form of Heaven. Yìis the upholding of righteousness and the moral disposition to do good.
Lǐ is a system of ritual norms and propriety that determines how a personshould properly act in everyday life according to the law of Heaven. Zhì is the ability to see what is right and fair, or the converse, in the behaviors exhibited by others. Confucianism holds one in contempt,either passively or actively, for failure to uphold the cardinal moral values of rén and yì. Ren has usually been taken as the most central concept in Confucianism.
Confucius was a famous sage and social philosopher of China whose teachings have deeply influenced in China. There is a further canon known as the Thirteen Classics.
There are originally six classics, the Classic of Poetry, The Classic of History, The Classic of Rites, The Classic of Changes, The Classic of Autumn Annals and The Classic of Music. But The Classic of Musicwas lost by the time of the Qin Dynasty. The four books are The Great Learning,The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius and The Mencius.
